Mesh me up: ways to wear

What with working two jobs, trying to keep up with friends including those who have gone off to uni and doing typical girl things like hair washing and nail painting, I haven't had a load of free time for doing big blog posts like hauls or ways-to-wear. Especially when you factor in that we only have about 2 hours daylight right now so it's getting harder to take the photos. But I finally got a window of opportunity so I took loads of photos so I now have some good posts saved up for you! Including this mesh-3-ways post - I got the mesh t-shirt which is the main feature of this blog from missguided and you may have seen it featured before because I've worn it for quite a few nights out. I just love the style and fabric and the fact that it livens up any simple outfit so I decided to show you a few different ways to wear it. I accidentally went with a kindof day, night and casual style...

I am so beyond in love with this bralet that got delivered last week! It's from ohsolovelyhandmade.bigcartel.com (or find them on instagram @ohsolovelyintimates) and when I scroll through their products, I honestly just want to buy everything! Their bralets are so intricate and gorgeous and they have a red Christmas collection which I might have to buy something from! They're not badly priced (this one was £25 when I bought it but the prices have gone up since then to £30) but the only downside is they take a while to be delivered because it's an independent company and everything's handmade - it's well worth the wait though! I made the bralet the feature of this outfit by keeping the rest very simple; black high waisted jeans (topshop) and strappy nude heels (new look). Obviously it's winter though and seeing as I'm not a lady of the night, I wouldn't go out in just the bralet so I layered over the mesh top for a slightly more subtle effect.

I've worn quite a few different bralets under the mesh top but normally I go with plain colours so I decided on trying a black and white checked one instead which I really liked (my cameras weird - it doesn't like to show you how things actually look, the bralet showed through better in real life). Because I went with party on the top, I had to go with business on the bottom; I went with burgundy shorts that are one half of a co-ord from new look. The scalloped edges add some nice detail too. I finished with caged black heeled boots - they went well with the checked bralet because the caging kindof matched the print. Or at least I thought it did...

So you know I don't do casual - but I thought I'd try it just for you guys! I kept the layering simple with this outfit; white scoop neck bralet under white mesh tee (both missguided) and paired with boyfriend style jeans (topshop) turned up at the bottom. My outfit statement was the checked shirt I added by tying it round my waist (although I'll have to be unhelpful because I got it ages ago and I have no idea where from sorry!). You know I'm a Blair Waldorf/Wannabe heiress/Princess at heart so you didn't really expect me to go all-out casual did you?! I girlied (did I just invent a word? I'm going to say yes) the whole thing up by finishing the look with patent nude court heels which also help to make your legs look longer. Something we all need help with to bring us one step closer to the elusive goal of becoming a Victoria's Secret angel - yes I am extremely jealous of anyone at the london show right now and soooo wish I could've gone! I'll just add it to my never-ending list of life goals.
