Advent-urous

A bit of a different post today because it is in no way shape or form linked to clothes! (shock horror). Instead it's all about Christmas - as I'm sure most of my posts from now until 2015 will be; so all you grinches out there better prepare yourselves! Along with the two chocolate advent calendars I always have (a white chocolate open-the-doors one and a fabric DIY fill-with-celebrations-and-heroes one), this year I also got one that's a bit different. Clearly people were being inventive with the advent calendars this year because I've seen makeup ones, jewellery ones and even a yankee candle one! The benefit one seems to be the highest rated makeup one but it's sold out everywhere and this No7 one is nearly half the price at only £35 (plus it's apparently worth £130 so it's a really good saving) and it sounds like it's filled with some pretty good stuff so I'm excited to see what I open as it gets closer to Christmas! I was also feeling festive after going to the local light switch-on over the weekend, something I've attended every year for as long as I can remember so it's a real Christmas tradition.

The first of the month usually signals new-magazine-day but Tesco didn't have any of the new issues in stock so I got this company high street issue instead which is filled with beautiful party pieces - although I could probably do without the temptation seeing as I bought 6 new party outfits on black Friday. I also kicked off the Christmas over-indulging with this cute little kinder Santa - although I probably shouldn't go too mad on the Christmas food or I won't be able to fit into said party outfits!

If you think your rooms cuter than mine then your lying to yourself - just look how adorable it looks! I'm not totally sure why there's a reoccurring theme of love on all my cushions and stuff; I'm not a crazy hopeless romantic I just liked the stuff and the theme was a total accident okay! Usually, in my bedroom I put up my stocking, fairy lights, glittery accessories AND a Christmas tree with pink and purple decorations, but since last year, I've gained a clothes rail that fills up quite a lot of the spare space in my room including the spot where my tree normally goes so this year I'm going to have to make do without putting it up! But I don't need to worry because when it comes to Christmas, my family are like the Whos of Whoville - we go big! We've never actually decorated the outside of our house, but we decorate pretty much every single room inside of it! I've lost count of how many trees we put up each year! But because we put up so much we haven't actually done it yet but I'm sure I'll feature pictures of my wonderfully OTT festive house in a future Christmassy post.
