I don't need a valentine, I need a valentino

For longer than I care to remember, I have lusted after anything and everything Valentino. My two favourite trends being the camubutterfly print and the rock stud shoes. And now I'm working 2 paid jobs (as oppose to a job and an internship), and enjoying 3 paydays a month (I love my life), and valentino finally seems in my reach. However, I have a shopping list that is embarrassingly long and I need to buy lots of friends birthday presents and then christmas presents, so any investment pieces in my wardrobe will have to wait. Which is why I am totally in love with these. I want valentino but can't afford the price tag (yet) so these new look beauties have totally stolen my heart. With the same pointed toe, strappy design, slim heel and rock stud finish, these are a perfect copy for the real thing. But at £24.99, they are a massive £625.01 cheaper! Knowing my track record with shoes (I have countless scars on my toes, ankles and sides of my feet), I expected them to be really uncomfortable. Normally pointed toe shoes hurt just for that part of it alone, just because it pushes your toes to the bottom. Never mind the thin heel and straps that could rub or dig in. But they're actually really comfy! The soles are really cushiony and the pointed toe wasn't even a problem. Despite my shoe perfection, I didn't exactly dress for the weather. It was chucking it down with rain all day but it was humid rather than cold so I dared to go with bare legs (because I really won't be able to at all soon). I feel that a black A-line skirt is a great wardrobe staple because it's so wearable and goes with everything. I made my outfit a tiny bit more wintery by adding this dark grey roll neck top (the top and skirt are both new look aswell) and then accessorized with Marc Jacobs watch. I kept the outfit from being too dark and drab by adding this long missguided duster coat which is the most gorgeous lilac/mauve colour; it's not too bright or pastelly but it's also not totally neutral. I love that it's super long (although it kept getting stuck under the wheels of my desk chair all day) and the side splits give it some nice detail. I finished with YSL lipstick and then gold pendant necklace, which follows the romantic theme of the title because it says 'amour' on it. If you don't believe in love at first sight then clearly you have never flicked through an issue of vogue. Who said romance was dead?
