Girls just wanna have fun

It's been a messy weekend for me to say the least. 'Messy' roughly translating as being sick like 200 times and forgetting most of what happened on Thursday night. Although from what Sian filled me in on, I'm glad I can't remember because it sounds like I was embarrassing. At least I was wearing a good outfit though. I already have the white version of this missguided top and I liked it so much that I bought it in black too seeing as it was only £18. I'm loving long sleeves at the minute - I think they add a good balance when you wear skirts or shorts. These floral shorts were from topshop and as I always do, I matched my eye makeup to my outfit. I used Jade (Lorac 2) blended through my crease and then packed Garnet (Lorac 1) onto my lid. I used Sable (Lorac 1) along my lower lashline and then added black pencil eyeliner along my waterline, black felt tip liner along my upper lash line and then finished with lashes, mascara and Taupe lipstick. In all my life, I don't think I've ever had to replace a lipstick. I've either never used them that much or I've moved on to a new favourite shade by the time it happens. But Taupe is nearly at the bottom and I will 100% be buying another one - it's my favourite shade without a doubt. Another milestone I hit on Thursday, was that my all time favourite wear-with-everything/wear-almost-every-night-out black boots finally gave up the ghost and died on me. Heartbroken isn't even the word. The sole of the heel came off and so I was making strange clip-clop noises as I walked round. I refuse to accept they're gone though - I'll see if I can get them re-heeled or something.

Not one to be swayed by a hangover that felt like literal death (actually got to the point where I considered saying my goodbyes just in case), I went out again on Saturday night for Staci's birthday. We went for a change of scenery and went out in Derby where we had really nice cocktails and really nice tapas (plus a prosecco bucket complete with sparklers obvs). I wore a white lace-up topshop top and rusty red a-line skirt with black belt and new black boots from public desire. They're beyond beautiful but the hole in my heart was still there and I couldn't help but think about the fact that they weren't my normal boots. Again, I matched my makeup to my outfit by going with a reddish smokey eye. I used the reddish shade out of my 17 midnight jewel palette across my lid and along my lower lashline and then added 260 Golden cinnamon from the body shop through my crease and up into a cat eye shape. I went with black winged eyeliner, pencil liner on my waterline and then lashes and mascara. I wore a darker lip than I would normally wear for a night out using my kiko lip liner in the shade 305 and then Paramount lipstick (MAC) over the top.
