Hats off to you

Wow okay so it's been a looooong time so I've done any OOTD blog posts! Exactly 6 months in fact, and while I love writing the lifestyle and travel pieces, I also have a very strong belief that variety is the spice of life. And with another travel blog post pending (we're off to the MALDIVES next week), I thought I'd sprinkle a little fashion into the mix before I go. If my constant jetting off wasn't a big enough clue, I'm not a fan of Autumn. I don't like cold weather, I don't like dark mornings and evenings and I don't like the lack of vitamin D. Something I do like about autumn though is the fashion. My coats get a chance to come out of hiding, you can layer up and accessorise more and you can't beat a heeled boot. These heeled boots in particular have long been a recurring love for me, as they have the comfort and chunkiness of a boot but they look more like a strappy shoe - the best of both worlds. I wore them with this outfit because I was going for a bit of edginess (well, about as edgy as I get anyway) with a caged bralet and fedora hat. The bralet is from new look and I layered it under this oversized shirt with flamingo print (shein), which I wore half open with a chunky black belt around the waist. I added skinny teal trousers (ASOS) and then finished with the fedora which was the pièce de résistance. The fact that I had to buy a large men's one to accommodate my extra large head is a story for another time...
